We spent some time with the lovely British photographer, Polly Florence, where she divulges her at-home must-haves, current favourite Piglet in Bed products and how she summarises her interior style.
What does your home mean to you?
I think it’s a hard feeling to put into words but as an introvert who enjoys spending quiet time alone and who also spends the majority of my time working from home– having somewhere inspiring and comfortable to work from that also makes me feel safe, secure and relaxed at the end of a busy day is really important. It’s never lost on me how fortunate I am that the space I’ve made for myself, my home, provides all of that.
What's one thing you can't live without in your home?
It’s so hard to choose just one thing— I want to give honourable mentions to my bookshelves stacked with my favourite books and my all important coffee maker— but if I had to, I’d choose my bathtub. There’s nothing that relaxes me more during the colder months than a hot bath with bubbles, lots of candles burning and a good book to read.
In a nutshell, how would you summarise your interior style/taste?
I like to think my taste is quite an eclectic mix— I love the Japanese and Scandinavian interior styles as well as the Mid Century Modern style and try and blend elements from them all in my space. I love to add plenty of cosy touches & thrifted pieces too to make things feel more unique.
Are you a morning lark or a night owl?
Definitely a night owl! I’m often most productive during the evening and like to enjoy a slow and quiet morning in when I can.
When it comes to winding down, is it a book in bed, or Netflix and chill?
I love being able to wind down in the evening, cosied up in bed with a book, it’s definitely my favourite way to relax.
