Blue Bedding

Warm neutrals are the most reliable companions for blue bedding; cream, oat, and warm white stop it from reading as cold, while natural linen textures and warm wood furniture add balance. For contrast, muted terracotta or soft gold accents work well without competing. Blue bedding sits naturally in rooms with darker wood furniture, see here for how to dress a bed in style.

Linen's natural texture gives blue shades a softer, more tonal quality, which is particularly noticeable in paler blues, where the variation in the weave adds character. Cotton percale produces a crisper, more defined color and is smooth from the first night. Both materials hold their color well with correct care.

All Piglet in Bed blue bedding is OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified and tested free from harmful chemicals, making it a good option for those with sensitive skin. Linen is also a naturally hypoallergenic fiber.

Linen and linen-cotton blend pieces soften noticeably with regular washing—this is expected and is part of what makes them more comfortable over time. Cotton percale maintains its smooth finish for longer and softens more gradually.
